Band and session recording
In a roughly 28 m² live room you track drums, bass, guitar and keys together or in layers — with 32 inputs and booths so bleed stays manageable.

You do not fake live energy by stacking everything alone in headphones. At Resourceworks the layout is compact but deliberate: drums in the room, amps isolated where needed, DI and booths for bass and keys — so you still share eye contact and one groove.
Band and session recording suits bands, session players and projects up to about 6 people in the studio at once. Bring your own instruments and backline where you can; we supply mics, preamps, routing and an engineer who balances instruments, not a sterile but lifeless sound.
Process
Planning
Send setlist, tempos and tracking approach via contact. We align day or hourly blocks and confirm within 2 business days.
Load-in
Drums up, amps placed, DI checks. Allow thirty to sixty minutes before the clock really runs — especially on a first visit.
Tracking
Live takes or per-instrument overdubs. We log take numbers and tuning so punch-ins stay logical later.
Stem handoff
Multitrack WAV per channel or per session, plus a rough mix for reference. Archive 24 months; see terms.
Live room and booths
The live room is about 28 m² — enough for a kit, two amps and movement, small enough to limit spill. Booths handle bass, guitar and keys; the building has 3 recording spaces at Columbusplein 26.
Drums usually live in the room; guitars may go in a booth or behind iso screens. Decide upfront whether you want all-live or overdub workflow — that drives how much of the €850 day block you need.
Who and which genres
Indie, rock, funk, jazz combos, session work for producers and «live in the room» demos: if you use real amps and acoustic drums, this fits. Fully electronic production without live instruments is often better as vocal or mix time.
6 musicians at once is a practical cap for comfort and safety. Extra friends in the control room — ask first; focus stays on the players tracking.
Tech and routing
32 input channels are available — enough for detailed drum miking, multiple guitars and DIs. Preamps and patchbay sit in the control room; the engineer balances in the room and refines at the desk with 4 monitor pairs.
Bring your pedalboard, favourite amp or snare; we add studio mics and stands. Tune drums and guitars before load-in — it saves billable minutes.
Live together vs overdubs
All live: everyone plays, one or two takes per song, then fixes. Fast, energetic, less per-track control.
Overdub layers: drums and bass first, then guitars, keys and maybe vocals in the booth. More control, more hours. Many bands hybrid: live bed, then solos and vocals overdubbed.
Share your plan at intake so mic presets are ready and mid-day debates do not eat the clock.
Prep and backline
Send a setlist with BPM and who plays what. New songs? Rehearse transitions at home — studio time costs more than your practice space. Our budget guide ties day blocks, overtime and mix together.
Do not expect full backline rental in the rate: basic drums, stands and DIs are on hand; amps sometimes, but your favourite combo is welcome. Bring cables, picks, spare strings and a tuner.
Delivery and next steps
After the session you get multitrack WAVs per channel or a consolidated folder per song, plus a stereo rough mix for home review. Sample rate and bit depth match your project; default 24-bit, 48 kHz.
Mix and master are not automatic: book mixing separately with up to 2 revision rounds there. Mastering when release-ready. Files via download; 24-month backup per privacy policy.

FAQ
Can our four-piece finish in one day?
Tracking four songs live with standard setup often fits a €850 day block; heavy production or many overdubs may need two days or hourly €120 booking.
Can we bring our own amps?
Yes if they are safe and working. We place them in booths or behind screens to limit spill. Mention wattage and size ahead via [email protected].
Do you record vocals too?
Vocals can same-day in our vocal booths if time remains, or on a separate session. Splitting keeps band focus sharp.
What is not in the hourly rate?
